Latest
The Latest section of AniDB is a place where you can find the latest files, anime, sequels, recommendations, and reviews are. You can also find the anime that the most users have begun collecting and anime that fansub groups have just completely subbed there as well. You can select what set of "Latest" information you would like by using the tabs at the top of the page. The function of each tab is described in detail below.
The Latest section is probably best used for keeping track of what files have recently become available for anime you are collecting.

Files
The Latest Files section allows you to find the latest files added to AniDB and helpful information regarding those files.

Completed
The Latest Completed section allows you to find the latest anime completely released by a group.

Hot Anime
The Latest Hot Anime section shows you the top anime that the most people have started collecting within the last week.

Anime
The Latest Anime section allows you to find the latest anime added to AniDB. This does not necessarily mean new anime, it includes old anime that was just recently added as well.

The Latest Recommendations section shows you the latest recommendations added to AniDB by its users.

The Latest Sequels section shows you the latest relations added between various anime on AniDB ordered by the date those relations were added to AniDB.

Regarding filters for Latest sections
For information on how to add, delete, modify, or set as default a filter for the various Latest sections, see below.
Adding a new preset:
- set your filters as you want them to be
- enter a name in the textbox
- click the "add" button
Deleting a preset:
- select the one you want to delete from the select box
- click the "delete" button
Editing a preset:
- select a preset from the list
- optional: load the preset to get the current filterset for that preset
- set filters as you want them to be
- optional: set a new name in the textbox (if nothing is set in the textbox the old name will be preserved)
- click the "edit" button
Setting a preset as default:
- select a preset from the list
- click the "set default" button
Resetting the default back to the website's default (instead of your personal default):
- select one of the first 2 options from the select box ("-------" or "select a template")
- click the "set default" button
