**** While I somewhat see where this is coming from, I have strong doubts about the actual usefulness or value of such a non-achievement. If anything, it looks to me more like a "coward medal", so to speak, and I fail to see why we would want that. The badges are supposed to be something you'd show off to your not-so-hardcore fellows (lol, am I really saying this?), not a system of reminders telling you that you missed an episode of so-and-so franchise or that you're late in x or y series. They're supposed to be a general description of, well, achievements (oh, Captain Obvious, you don't say?! I'd never have guessed! :P); for reports on their status in series and franchises and such, AniDB has tons of much more useful features.
