AniDB has established relations between voice actors (seiyuu) and their talent agencies. They don't always stay together and change their employers/employees. We try to keep track of those changes but as there are so many of those - it gets hard.

Follow up is a list compiled about talent agencies we have in the db with links to their respective employee pages and the date ALL of those entries have been checked/updated.

How to update relations best

The bigger the agency, the more tedious, yet simple, the work. There are two sides that have to be taken care of:

  • the agency's website
  • the anidb page with relations

It is interchangeable from which side to begin. Either one opens all the employed seiyuu the AniDB page lists and checks their relations first, or the backcheck if AniDB lists all the people from the agency's website as working for them.

While checking those entries for validity, there are a couple of things to be updated:

  • the official resources (agencies remove the former employees most of the time)
  • the creator-creator relations
  • the description

If either of those is missing, it is highly encouraged to change/fix/update those.

Checking Wikipedia is also important for this - they oftentimes list Twitter and Blog Information for the voice actors. Of course the most valid reason to add an ended relations to creators is when they are not listed on the employers page anymore.

!Sometimes agencies change the place for their talent lists, so a non-existant profile page means simply that the resource has to be updated!

Talent Agencies

Important If you happen to work on checking a specific goliath entry, mark that entry with checking in progress by ???? / ??.??.???? so nobody gets a heart attack because of wasted time
