Locked Page Editing
Here a few suggestions on words that might be made conform to the rest of the wiki:
anidb -> AniDB x6 referer -> referrer
anidb -> AniDB x1
anidb -> AniDB x5 referer -> referrer Eyecatch -> eyecatch (code, though Eyecatch also works) Please note: -> Please note (in {{eyecatch| code)

Dead Pages?
Is this a dead page? Since there "still" is no content on it?
The link "dump" dump on
is broken. Seems like the "dump" page was previously deleted.
This page is still empty, is it dead and can be deleted?
The "news item" link is broken:

Possible Candidates for a Page Rename
These are obviously strictly cosmetic suggestions:
- Autocreqing - Autocreqing-> Auto-creqing
http://wiki.anidb.net/wiki/index.php?title=Autocreqing
- -> Category:MyPlace
- Mylist:comment - Mylist:comment -> MyList comment
see page: http://wiki.anidb.net/wiki/index.php?title=Comments
- Mylist export template guidelines - Mylist export template guidelines -> MyList export template
see page: http://wiki.anidb.net/wiki/index.php?title=AniDB_forumguidelines
- Mylist export - Mylist export-> MyList export
see page: http://wiki.anidb.net/wiki/index.php?title=AniDB_forum
- mylist:watched - mylist:watched -> MyList watched
mylist:source - mylist:source -> MyList source
mylist:comment - mylist:comment -> MyList comment
mylist:storage - mylist:storage -> MyList storage
All redirect to "Mylist:" but would be nicer to use "MyList ", IMO.
(see page: http://wiki.anidb.net/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_Add_Files_to_Your_MyList)
- FAQ:Mylist - FAQ:Mylist -> FAQ:MyList
- -> Category:AniDB Clients

Discussion
The following are only ideas that may have some merit, maybe not.
ProfileLink
IMO, the ProfileLink
is ugly using the generic "[1]" in the template. And it is a bit strange that the "profile image" actually leads to the image's page, instead of directly leading to the profile on the AniDB page. In all it is IMO confusing to actually have 3 links:
- link to wiki profile page
- link profile image's page on wiki
- link to profile on AniDB
profile ( ) profile ( [1])
Alas placing the image *in* the AniDB link does not properly work:
profile ([http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=profile ]) profile ( )
Maybe replacing the generic "[1]" with text will make things clearer:
profile ( on AniDB) profile ( on AniDB)
Though it's still not elegant that the profile image leads to the image's wiki page.

Text Modules vs. Templates
To me templates are wiki source code that uses variables in some way. These are used as compact aliases. I noted that several of these "templates" are simply text modules (without variables):
- http://wiki.anidb.net/w/AniDB_Definition:_Romanisation/Table
- http://wiki.anidb.net/w/WebAOM/Header
- http://wiki.anidb.net/w/Template:Avdump-gui
- http://wiki.anidb.net/wiki/index.php?title=Template:Awards
- http://wiki.anidb.net/w/Template:ProfileLink
Maybe one could add a new category specifically for such variable-free text blocks called e.g. Includes or Text Modules.
Alas I am not quite such sure the inclusion of "non-templates" is actually permitted in the wiki?

Main Page - "Guidelines" rename?
On http://wiki.anidb.net/w/Main_Page the Guidelines section:
- AniDB:Review Guideline -> AniDB: Review Guideline
- AniDB:Review Comments -> AniDB: Review Comments
- Dates -> AniDB: Dates
- AniDB Definition:Romanisation -> AniDB Definition: Romanisation
might be renamed to AniDB Guidelines to shorten the link names there (reduce the then redundant "AniDB" prefix):
- Review Guideline
- Review Comments
- Dates
- Definition: Romanisation
Well, maybe. --foo2 15:09, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

√ Help:Editing page
FYI - You said the Help:Editing article was never in use, but actually that page is linked to every time anyone goes to edit a page. Try editing a page and you can see the "Editing help" link at the bottom of the page goes to that article. -- HiEv 17:06, 10 January 2008 (CET)
- yes. i noticed that a while after my statement. -- Ninjamask 02:48, 11 January 2008 (CET)
√ Old anidb.info entries - a list
I found the rest of the anidb.info links. Use the wiki search, and look for "anidb" (*with* the double quotes), list 500 entries, to quickly find the pages.
