AniDB:Site support

Hi,

unfortunatly we currently have some problems with our server, as you surely have noticed :| Depending on how the situation evolves we might be in need of a new host. But this is not clear yet. Nevertheless we'd like to gather some feedback to see what our options would be.

AniDB has grown quite big and will most likely continue to grow even more. This leads to quite high resource requirements and makes many hosting options not viable for us.

So if you might be able to provide hosting, please verify that you can provide:

Minimum requirements: - own dedicated server with full root access (not shared with any other services/users) - >=5MBit/s unlimited traffic - decent hardware: >=2GHz, >=1GB RAM, >=40GB HDD - OS: Linux - some way to get a remote reset within 24h (which would solve our current problem x_X)

Wishlist: - two servers - raid mirrored harddisk for db server - distribution: Debian, no webadmin packages like plesk&co - ... and whatever else you can throw in :o)

If you would be willing to provide free hosting for AniDB please send me a private message on the forum.

We can't offer much in return though. We would give credit to you (and/or your company) on a seperate page and include a small hosted by button on each AniDB page.
