The Filetype parameter allows you to mark that you don't have exactly the file you added to your MyList:
For normal files
- normal/original
- But well in this case you have this exact file. This is the default value.
- corrupted version/invalid crc
- - Your version of this file is corrupted / has a different CRC than the original.
- self edited
- - You modified the file, e.g. you removed the OP/ED.
- other
- - Other: For everything not covered by the other types.
For generic files
- self ripped
- - A copy from some other medium; use this type instead of adding new file-entries nobody else would have a use for.
- BluRay
- - You have it on BluRay.
- DVD
- - You have it on DVD.
- VHS
- - You have it on VHS.
- TV
- - You have seen it on TV.
Note You have to manually mark it as watched for the system to know you have seen it.

- filler EP
- - Previous versions of anidb didn't have a proper way to display episode files that contain more than one episode (See multi-episode files). As this is no longer an issue this is merely a legacy type nowadays.
- other
- - Other: For everything not covered by the other types.
