Who is rar, and where can I find him?
While Rar is in actuality a mod, he has also written some scripts that are available for use from the #anidb channel.
Manga
!manga
You can use the !manga command to search the AR forum for a specific manga release. You can use a * to match any substring.
Usage:
!manga <manga title> [#result number]
Example:
- > !manga midori no hibi
- <rar> MANGA: Midori no Hibi, a completed Non-MangaReactor release, by KingFish, release thread: http://forum.anime-reactor.net/viewtopic.php?t=1943
!mangaversion
Use this to check which version the script is; if it has been updated recently or not.
Usage:
!mangaversion
Example:
- > !mangaversion
- <rar> MANGAVERSION: Code: Delta Final 2006-01-03 Dataset: Fri Dec 30 2005 10:13 pm
!mangastats
This shows some interesting stats about the manga search.
Usage:
!mangastats
Example:
- > !mangastats
- <rar> MANGASTATS: 963 titles, of 133 ongoing MangaReactor releases, 245 completed MangaReactor releases, 181 ongoing Non-MangaReactor releases, and 163 completed Non-MangaReactor releases.
!mangaupdate
Use this command to update the manga list. It might take a few seconds for this command to finish. Don't hammer.
Usage:
!mangaupdate
Example:
- > !mangaupdate
- <rar> MANGAUPDATE: Update done! Most recent changes from Tue Jan 03 2006 4:02 pm
