These settings control what types of files are selected when you check the checkbox in a group row action column after expanding a group.

Check all non-deprectated files
The default behaviour, please note that the other 4 options have this one as base.
Check all non-deprectated mkv/ogm files

Check all non-deprectated avi files
Self-explanatory.
Check all non-deprectated High Definition files (video resolution height >= 720)
